Albert Guasch: Albert Guasch’s painting stands somewhere between the absurd, the fantastic, the ritual and the drama. Painting is understood as an individual way of thinking about reality and imagine the future; a sort of hotchpotch where feelings and reflections are placed freely. The idea of dramatizing a moment is present in most of his works, which approach the macabre parody and a slightly dystopian conception of contemporary society. Magic Realism, New Objectivity, Pop Culture and Sci-Fi movies are, among others, his main influences.
